Saturday 9/26
Swing by Barista’s Bouquet in Urbandale on Saturday, September 26th with your gently used books. Whether it's your favorite book that you can't wait to share or a few treasures that's been hogging your shelf space. Bring one (or a whole stack), and snag a new to you book to take home. Any kind of book is welcome—even children's books! If there are any stragglers left after our event, they'll be happily donated to a public library!

Sunday 10/4 at 1pm
Join us for a laid-back, feel-good afternoon creating your own beautiful fall door hanger—filled with sunflowers, hydrangeas, and all the soft, textural touches that make the season feel so inviting.
We'll be using high-quality faux florals, so your piece will stay looking full and gorgeous all the way through October and November (and honestly… probably longer because you won't want to take it down).
This class is all about slowing down and enjoying the process. I'll be there every step of the way to guide you, offer ideas, and help bring your vision to life—but there's no pressure here. Just space to play, create, and make something that feels like *you*.

In honor of Pregnancy &
Infant Loss Awareness Month, Danielle Green, Jude's Mom, in partnership with
Barista's Bouquet, invites you to a private floral design class created
especially for parents who have experienced the profound loss of a child.
This special gathering will take place on Thursday, October 8th, 2026, and
is designed to offer a peaceful, supportive environment for reflection,
creativity, and connection.
Assisted floral design can be a soothing practice, engaging fragrance,
touch, and sight to help ease stress and encourage mindful presence.
Stacey, the mastermind behind Barista's Bouquet will guide participants
through the basic elements of floral design using an array of beautiful
blooms.
Cost: $50 per parent
All materials and light refreshments will be provided! No prior floral
experience is needed. Simply come as you are.
Each parent will leave with a meaningful, one-of-a-kind floral arrangement
created in honor of their child(ren).
Registration closes October 1st.

Welcome to SHHHHHH Book Club — a cozy, quiet escape for book lovers, introverts, and anyone who enjoys being *alone… together*.
Join us from 1:30-3:30PM for a low-pressure, come-as-you-are kind of afternoon. We'll start with 30 minutes to grab a drink, casually mingle (or politely avoid eye contact), and find your perfect reading spot. Then we settle in for one full hour of uninterrupted reading time — no discussions, no forced sharing, just you and your book in peaceful silence.
For the final 30 minutes, you're welcome to keep reading, chat with fellow
like-minded introverts, or quietly browse the shop — socializing optional,
of course.
☕ Coffee, tea, and house-made baked goods will be available for purchase.
Come solo, bring a friend, or sit near someone you'll quite possibly never
speak to 😋 but deeply relate to. Either way — you're in the right place.

Join us for story time for the littles! Wandering Raccoon Books helps us pick out engaging stories and we pair an activity. $1 kid's coffees and warm chocolates are offered during this time. Geared for younger kids (8 and under) but all are welcome.
